WIRELESSLY TRANSFER FILES FROM ANDROID TO PC

Transferring files wireless from Android to PC ! IS it really possible ? Yes, it is possible. From today forget about carrying your USB cables cause now you can transfer files, pictures,documents and songs wirelessly from your android to PC and vice-versa. 

So what you will need ?

THINGS YOU NEED TO TRANSFER FILE WIRELESSLY FROM ANDROID TO PC :

• A Wireless Router OR Internet connection on both your PC and Android Device.
• A app called AirDroid installed in your Android Device.
• Throw away your USB cables.

NOW after you have the above things ready follow the steps below:

1. Open AirDroid in your Android Device.
2. If you are on a wireless group .i.e if you are transferring files to the host computer enter the ip address shown in the app in the web browser of that computer.

• When you open that address you will get a notification in your Android Device. Accept it.
• Then You will see a site like this in your browser:

• From there you can access all the files, photos, music etc. stored in your device.
• To send file from PC to your device on the right hand side you will find the Toolbox in there you can select the location to store your file and can transfer the file by just dragging and dropping it there.

   3. If you are having internet connection then you can register at AirDroid and have open the web.airdroid.com website on your browser and then sign-in there, after signing in the things are more or less the same, some new features are added there. If you use the internet you can access your phone from anywhere without even having physical access to your phone (the phone should be connected to the internet).

HOW TO ROOT XIAOMI REDMI 2 WITHOUT PC

Rooting a smartphone can be a very difficult task specially when you don't have any idea about coding and commands. Sometimes there is a risk of  " Bricking " your phone if something goes wrong during the rooting process. Their are many more advantages of rooting a smartphone. When you are rooting Xiaomi Redmi 2 you don't need to worry about the warranty getting void because Xiaomi encourages users to root their phones and doesn't nullify their warranty. Their are many ways by which you can root your Xiaomi Redmi 2 but today I am going to show you the simplest way of doing it.

SO HOW TO ROOT XIAOMI REDMI 2 WITHOUT PC?

• First of all you need to download 1 file :

This file works on any Xiaomi Redmi 2 model and is compatible with any version of MIUI. So there is no need to worry about the model number or the UK version.  

• After you have downloaded the file store it in the internal or external storage of the phone.
• Now open the updater on your phone as shown in the picture. Click on the (...)  three dots and select "Choose Update Package".

• Your file manager will open up just select the downloaded file and wait for your phone to reboot. It may take some time so don't panic. 

If the the rooting is successful you will see a new app named SuperUser. This app is going to give the root permission to the apps.

HOW TO INSTALL TWRP OR CWM RECOVERY WITHOUT PC

The stock recovery or the primary inbuilt recovery is not enough for a rooted android smartphone and that is why you need to install TWRP or CWM recovery or any other custom recovery. To install a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM recovery you need to flash it in your phone.

# FLASH : "It means overwriting one of your phone's partition with an image that you may have downloaded elsewhere, but it usually extends to installing many other things, such as root or another OS in your phone."

But flashing is just as painful as rooting but today I am going to show you how you can flash or install TWRP or CWM recovery without using PC and without even spilling a drop of sweat.  But before you install a custom recovery you must know why you should install it.

WHY INSTALL TWRP OR CM RECOVERY

The stock recovery is pre-installed in your phone but it can only help you to wipe data and sometimes restore to a previous version of your OS but a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM recovery allows you to backup your phone's data, ROM and many other things which stock recover didn't provide. Custom Recovery is advised for only root users but anyone with unlocked bootloader can install it.

Custom recovery like TWRP or CWM recovery allows you to install Custom ROMs like Cyanogen without using a PC. You just need to click on a few options and it does it for you.

      CAUTION : DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE ANYTHING GOES WRONG.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL TWRP OR CWM RECOVERY :

 1. A smartphone.  :P

 2. A app called FLASHIFY. (click to download it)

 3. The TWRP or CWM recovery image for your smartphone model. (click on the links to download the respective app for your smartphone model)

HOW TO INSTALL THE TWRP OR CWM RECOVERY WITHOUT PC

1. Open FLASHIFY.

2. Choose Backup/Restore and click on "Backup current Recovery" and choose storage location and backup. This  will backup your current recovery or the stock recovery.

 3.  Now go to FLASH >> Recovery image >> Choose a File.

4. Choose the downloaded TWRP or CWM recovery image and then click on "yup".

Now if the flash was successful you will get a message and will be asked to reboot. 

After rebooting you need to get into you recovery mode to see the changes. For different models of smartphones there are different ways of booting into recovery mode but as we have FLASHIFY installed we can directly boot into recovery mode by clicking on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the FLASHIFY app and then by clicking on "Reboot Recovery" .

After you boot into your recovery mode you will see the custom recovery load and after that you can install custom ROMS and perform other tricks.
